AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND -- Team Dennis Conner finished the second round robin of the Louis Vuitton Cup Series with a 23 second win over
the Young Australia syndicate in very shifty 8-12 knot conditions. This gave Stars & Stripes an impressive 8-2 record for the round. "All of us are happy with the progress we've made during the past 10 races," said helmsman Ken Read. "We're a much stronger team now than we were when
this round started. However, no one on our team is the least bit complacent."Although there is no racing for Team Dennis Conner tomorrow, it will not be an off day. "There is still a
lot of work to do," Read continued. "We'll be making some changes between rounds that we feel will improve the boat's performance." "We've come along way in the six weeks
that we've been sailing the boat, and although we're all pleased with our progress, no one here is satisfied," Read concluded. Round Robin Three is scheduled to begin on December 2.
