The event will be run in the Waitemata Harbour, affording plenty of opportunities for spectators to watch, either from the water, or from various vantage points on land.

The yachts will be based at the Maritime Museum near the Viaduct Basin. TV coverage will include daily highlight packages, followed by live coverage of the final match on 24 - 26 April.

Teams:

15 Crew provided by invited Syndicate + 1 Team New Zealand Representative + 17th Man

Format:

The event will be run along the lines of a mini America's Cup, with two round robins between the Challengers, followed by a Challenger final to determine an opponent for Team New Zealand.

Course:

Windward-Leeward with Starboard Roundings, Downwind Finish

Participating Syndicates:

Team Caribbean, The Prada syndicate from Italy and The Yaka syndicate from France
