ESPN aired "Road to the America's Cup" hosted by Gary Jobson on Sunday, December 21, 1997, featuring Team Caribbean and the Marriott Frenchman's Reef International Regatta among other challengers for the Cup in 2000.

Team Caribbean's training yacht, the former Stars & Stripes ‘92, was successfully hauled and reconditioned, thanks to the experts at Haulover Marine in Crown Bay, St. Thomas. Since the refit she has made appearances at the Bitter End Resort in the British Virgin Islands, the Charter Yacht League Fall Boat Show, and will begin active training again in January 1998.
